Responsibilities

Employment/Orientation/Employee Relations

  • Investigates employee relations issues and prepares reports and recommendations on the findings.
  • Acts as a facilitator between employees and supervisors to resolve disputes.
  • Consults Managers on how to identify, evaluate, and resolve employee relations and work performance issues.
  • Acts as a Human Resources consultant to BOMs, DONs and ASC Managers in each center in all aspects of Human Resources.
  • Communicates company policies and procedures, benefit plan and company culture to employees.
  • Creates and updates employee handbook, new hire packet and orientation manual.
  • Processes terminations including processing paperwork, initiating appropriate communication; and conducting exit interviews.
  • Manages the pre-employment, random selection and reasonable suspicion drug screening processes.

Training & Development

  • May develop, implement and maintain training programs including researching and developing in-house and outside training programs, and administering, tracking and reporting for on-line training programs.
  • Prepares and presents Human Resources training and information to BOMs, DONs and ASC Managers and staff.
  • Coordinates Employee Opinion Survey and 360 Degree Survey, shares results with Managers and assists them with implementing an action plan.
  • Works on special projects as assigned.

Operations Preparation

  • Attends Ops Prep meetings provides support during ops prep phase, and updates project software for assigned clients.
  • Creates and presents timeline, communication documents and presentations for transition projects.
  • Assists with staff interviews for new projects when requested.
  • Works with Administrator to establish on-line training contract.
  • Assists with benefits and/or employment proposals for new centers.

Benefit Administration

  • Communicates company benefit plan.
  • Answers benefit questions, assists with claims.
  • Assists with the Open Enrollment process.
  • Processes STD, LTD, FMLA and LOA’s and works with Payroll Administrator and Generalist to ensure leave is reflected on payroll.
  • Processes and manages worker’s comp claims.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business-related field preferred
  • 5 + years of human resources experience required
