Overview:

Elastic, powered by Emerald, is seeking an experienced, driven, and forward-thinking Marketing Manager primarily focused on events and digital marketing who can effectively influence and collaborate cross-departmentally within Elastic Suite. Experience within the SaaS industry is required.


This role will focus on planning and executing Marketing programs, managing our lead generation activities, analyze trends and conduct market research to attract customers to our solution. This person must have an understanding of how to execute successful events and tradeshows, campaign strategies, while confidently representing the Elastic brand and value proposition. This position will collaborate with the marketing team, global sales and account management team, product team and leadership. This strategic role will ensure campaign execution and event success with proven ROI and early sales pipeline metrics. In addition to leading planning and strategy for events, this individual will often travel to events to effectively represent Elastic alongside sellers and other support team members.


The ideal candidate is a dependable, execution-focused contributor who loves to roll up his/her sleeves and “make it happen” in a fast-paced environment. This person should have a solid understanding of event planning logistics, in-booth strategies, tradeshow engagement techniques, and pre and post event marketing activities. This individual should have a foundation in digital marketing, including 3rd party vendor selection, developing email marketing campaigns, working with account-based advertising tools; remarketing; social media marketing and SEO. Content development and copy-writing experience is a plus.


You will work with the Director of Marketing to strategize on how to effectively boost the volume of qualified marketing leads stemming from digital marketing campaigns, events partnerships and other programs, to support the global sales team and ultimately, grow market share and revenue.


This position can be performed from any of our US-based offices or remotely from anywhere within the US.

Responsibilities:

EVENTS

  • Develop cross-functional timelines, detailed project plans, and thoughtfully planned workstreams
  • Deep expertise in digital and physical event execution with a strong understanding of digital event platforms
  • Help develop strategy and long-term thinking for the team. Working alongside cross functional teams to determine the global event strategy and themes each year.
  • Navigate and own all aspects of event operations. Responsibilities include but not limited to; budget, long-term vision and goal-setting, people management of cross functional teams, creating processes to streamline decision making, present milestones and updates to leadership team, track success year over year, post-event evaluation and analysis, measurement of ROI, site selection, contract negotiations, etc
  • Manage and vet all event vendor relationships.
  • Escalate risks and challenges appropriately to ensure the event is delivered on time and on budget.
  • Build processes for repeatability and scalability of events activities.
  • Build a rolling 12-month event plan that aligns with Elastic Suite marketing campaigns, key programs, and business objectives.
  • Deliver post event reports with data-driven analysis including attendee feedback, goal attainment, and recommendations for future event improvements, drive and deliver best practice documents.
  • Absorb a significant amount of information from a variety of inputs and stakeholders in order to help frame and clearly communicate the strategy and objectives for Elastic Suite.
  • Stay ahead of the latest experiential innovations in the industry.


DIGITAL MARKETING

  • Create engaging content and build campaigns to attract potential customers.
  • Work with marketing automation specialist to refine and develop email marketing tactics
  • Oversee development of strategies to drive opt-in growth and engagement across the channels: email & social media
  • Provide clear direction, audience selection criteria, and documentation for the Operations team to properly build and execute on
  • Work to develop and execute a consistent social media cadence for Elastic
  • Ensure continued optimization of new & existing campaigns
  • Oversee copy-writing, proofing and QAing messaging
Qualifications:

  • 6+ years event experience – virtual/webinar experience a +
  • 3-5 years of digital marketing experience. Experience with marketing automation, PPC/SEM, display advertising, and organic social media. Pardot email marketing experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of SaaS marketing automation & personalization technology
  • Prior experience managing projects
  • Experience executing campaigns
  • Experience with analytics & reporting tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable and confident at in-person events and in the fast-paced tradeshow environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • SFDC proficiency

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Target Compensation: $85,000-95,000 (bonus eligible)

Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
