Status : Full-Time

Salary : Starting at 13.75$ per hour plus benefits

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the Pool attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and the proper functioning of aquatic activities in a swimming pool. This essential role requires constant vigilance, water rescue skills, excellent communication, and a strong knowledge of aquatic safety protocols.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the pool area to ensure the safety of all swimmers and guests.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a secure and enjoyable environment.
  • Help and support to swimmers in distress or emergencies.
  • Perform routine pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning, skimming, and checking water quality.
  • Ensure that pool equipment is in proper working condition and report any malfunctions.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of the pool area and associated facilities.
  • Communicate effectively with pool patrons, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain a neat and organized pool deck and storage area.
  • Assist in organizing and overseeing pool events and activities.
  • Keep accurate records of pool attendance and incidents.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure a well-coordinated operation.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.

 

Qualifications:

  • Current lifeguard and CPR certification.
  • Strong swimming skills and the ability to perform rescues as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and handle challenging situations calmly.
  • Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform strenuous tasks.
  • Knowledge of pool maintenance and basic water chemistry is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.

 

Languages : English oral and written, is required for this position
